Scout Camp 2013

About 2 weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to Scout Camp. The camp we went to was called Camp Dierks. At scout camp, you take 5 classes (one for every merit badge your trying to get) each day. Before the classes, you eat breakfast. After your third class, you eat lunch. Free time is after fifth. It lasts for about an hour then you have dinner. I like how they feed you something different every meal unlike some other camps. After dinner you go to flag ceremony then you have some more free time even though its already 8. Me and my troop usually used the free time at the end to play a game or something. For example, one night we played glow in the dark Frisbee tag which was really fun. Overall, Camp Dierks was pretty fun

Working on the Golf Merit Badge

Last month my scout troop went to the lantana golf club to work on the golf merit badge. We got to eat dinner there which was really good. Then we went outside and learned the golf stance and how to hold the golf club. We got to practice with our 9 irons. Then we went to the driving range and we got to use different kinds of clubs. I had a lot of fun and i'm sure my scout troop did too.

Merit Badge College

I went to Merit Badge College. This time I worked on Citizenship in the Community, Geology, Computers, and Communications. This one was a little more fun than the last one. Geology was my favorite because it was fun to learn about different rocks and minerals.
